Company Culture

What creates great company culture? Many companies strive to be leaders in their industry. They try to hire the best employees. They try to sell top of the line products and services. Where many businesses struggle is creating good company culture though. Having a good company culture will change everything about your business. We feel its even the gate keeper to building a solid brand.

How do you build great company culture in your business? It starts with community. Creating a workplace that has a great community feel will boost your employees morale. It will give them a sense of togetherness where they feel like they can rely on the other employees when challenges come. It will also give them people they want to celebrate the wins with also, We are all about winning.

Something else that people look for in good company culture is honesty and fairness. This is a top down issue. If the head of a company or a CEO isn't being honest or fair. Its a safe bet his or her underlings are doing some of the same. It becomes a scenario where people say. Well they do it. So can I. Being fair means giving every member of your staff a fair shot at success with your company. It also means treating people with dignity. Being honest is equally as important. Sometimes we can lie to seem fair. I assure you though. Employees talk. They will rat you out. Then there will be distrust in the ranks. Things become no bueno (not good) after that. Improve on this highly and you'll be a rock star.

Want to really amp up your company culture fast. Get to know your employees. Show them you care. Getting to know your employees why is important. That includes large companies with lots of employees down to small mom and pop companies. Every employee has a reason they get up everyday and come to work for you. Find out what it is. See how your company can help them achieve that through what they do for you. That why is different for everyone. It could be the flexible hours, they like their field of work or the money. Surprisingly its not always about the money. Have a meeting every month to discuss your employees at work goals and their personal goals. Look at how they can achieve both. I know they will achieve them faster when you do. You have knowledge to share. Lets use it.

Lastly to create stellar company culture you need to stay innovative. Your employees are itching to make things better at there job. They do the task everyday. They analyze things constantly. Don't think they don't. They see solutions to your companies problems. Some are foaming at the mouth to tell you about it. Give them permission to get involved. These are the leaders in your ranks. They will be change makers for sure. What about your goods and services though. Are you at the cutting edge of your field? Maybe its time to corner your market. Be the leader in your industry. The Good news is your employees want to help. They are already looking at how to do this. Let them go for it. Faith is spelled risk. Something to remember. When your employees go above and beyond. Take care of them. They will only do it for so long until they find someone who truly appreciates what they working so hard to do. Make that you every time and you will win.

So to create great culture in your business you need a trusting community of employees who have each others back but will also have your companies back. They know you will support them and give them the resources to do their job well. You cant loose. Go the extra mile. Have an employee appreciation day. Do team building events or retreats. Meet with your employees regularly. Build a brand everyone can get behind. Win like a pro. If you find your self stuck. You know who to call.
